When a fabric requires dry Cleaning, no other cleaning method should be used. All water based products... including water itself should
be kept away from this type of fabric. If water based product is applied or spilled onto upholstery, in most cases permanent staining
will occur.
The dry clean method uses a solvent solution. This solution does have an odor to it, but our state of the art equipment
allows the specialist to redirect and vent the fumes outdoors during the cleaning process.
An odor from the solvent will remain
though; this can take up to 24 hours to dissipate. This is why multiple passes are made with the vacuum to limit the amount of drying
time.
Dry clean fabrics can only be cleaned with dry clean solvent. Please do not attempt to use any water based cleaning on
this type of fabric. Do you know what type of fabric you have?
There are many different types of fabric out there, with this there are different types of cleaning methods. The first is shampoo
based cleaning and second is the Dry Cleaning method, which uses a solvent. Most people do not know the difference and which type
they have.
Our upholstery specialist uses a state of the art system capable of cleaning both shampoo and dry clean only fabrics.
During
the cleaning process, multiple passes are made with the vacuum to ensure that the moisture content in the upholstery is kept to a
minimum. This allows for a faster drying time and less humidity in your home.
We spend good amount of time searching and going from show room to show room in order to find just the right furniture for our home.
You may have even hired and paid for the experience of an interior designer to come and furnish the interior of your home for you.
In the end, this is an investment you want to last.
All too often people wait years before they have their upholstery cleaned.
This has an adverse affect on the fabric and the health of your home. Your upholstery, like carpet will assist in filtering out fine
particles and pollutants from the air. It will also collect and hold onto a portion of the 13 - 15 pounds of skin you shed per
year, this is now a habitat for dust mites. As the upholstery is used, natural oils from your skin and hair soak into the
fabric. You can also include natural oils from pets, if you have them. Waiting until these areas are very dark is waiting to
long. This is damaging to the fabric of your upholstery and is a breeding ground for bacteria and germs.
You will have peace
of mind having your upholstery cleaned with Healthy Home Dry Carpet Cleaning and our state of the art Upholstery cleaning system.
You will be cleaning an air filter, a health filter. You will allow us to create a healthier indoor environment for you, your family
and prolong the life and beauty of your investment.
Like any filter, it must be cleaned on a scheduled maintenance. The particles, pollutants, dust mites all have adverse affects on
our health. Whether it is immediate or from long term exposure, this should be removed from your upholstery. The oils that have built
up over time in and on the surface of your upholstery is a breeding ground for bacteria and germs, these need to be removed too!!!
